All chrome guards were standard equipment RoW up through 1971 with padded guards being optional. All chrome guards were standard in US up to 1967 with the introduction of the padded bumper guard. The padded guard was an option starting in 1966. For 1969 912 and 1969 to 1971 911T all chrome guards were standard with padded being optional.
